The Resurrection of Slack Video as part of Hull International Short Film Festival
Sunday 07th October @ The Sailmakers Arms, Chandlers Court, High Street, Hull, HU1 1NQ
8:00pm onwards
£3.00 (£2.00 concessions)
Tickets available an hour before the screening from The Sailmakers Arms
We’re offering you the chance not only to see a diverse programme of low/no budget videos in a relaxed drinking environment, but also the opportunity to enjoy that relaxed drinking environment in the company of some of the exhibiting artists, animators and filmmakers.
After falling asleep on Hull’s cinematic sofa for the last few months, Slack Video have suddenly woken up confused and mildly disorientated in the middle of a film festival.
Realising this would be the perfect time to start running screenings again, we have carefully chosen a recklessly varied selection of narrative and experimental short films and animations from the people of Hull and beyond, then brought them out to the pub for your entertainment.
For people wishing to enter works into this (or future) screening(s), submissions for the programme will run up until the last minute. We’re hoping to end the night with a bit of a "free for all", so if you’ve got anything short and sharp for our screen, then bring it along on the night and if there’s time, we’ll see if we can make people look at it.
See
www.hullfilm.co.uk for further information on the festival.
