Director: Lee Cavaliere Location: UK Website:http://www.lcavaliere.org.uk Info: Lee Cavaliere’s work looks at how traditions and ideals face up to modernity in specific landscapes and locations. Using film, sound and photography, Cavaliere investigates the way in which locations are marketed, and the resultant breakdown and commoditization of Romantic ideas. Lee Cavaliere has exhibited widely in Britain, and abroad, in Poland, Serbia and Morocco. He has undertaken residencies at The Institute of Art, Gdansk, Poland; Allenheads Contemporary Arts; and Art Gene, Barrow-in-Furness. Recent group exhibitions include: End Game, Reigate School of Art; Street Art, Gdansk Institute of Art, Poland; Seconds Out, Shaddon Mill, Carlisle; Wilderness Meetings,, GOSEE1, Portsmouth; Max5, The Gallery by the Lake, Southwark Park, London; and Off the Wall, Fold Gallery, Cumbria.
